One Part Dispersion Primer and Green Slab Sealer

ARDEX P 38 is a one-component dispersion green slab sealer for use on internal porous and non-porous substrates. It is designed to block capillary moisture up to 95% RH, making it ideal for various flooring applications, including those involving ARDEX levellers.

Use

• ARDEX P 38 is used on absorbent, smooth and dense surfaces such as concrete. Does not require sand broadcasting under ARDEX Levellers. Over substrates containing construction moisture and have a suitable and intact DPM in place. Up to 95% RH for non heated slabs or 85% RH for radiant or hydronic heated slabs.

Substrate Preparation: 

• Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, dirt, oil, or grease. Mechanically prepare surfaces according to manufacturer specifications before applying ARDEX P 38. 

Application: 

• Shake the container before use. For the first coat, dilute ARDEX P 38 with water at a ratio of 1:1 and apply with a short nap roller. For the second coat, apply undiluted at a rate of 100-120 g/m². 

Drying Time: 

• Allow the first coat to dry for a minimum of 2 hours before applying the second coat. Levelling compounds may be installed over ARDEX P 38 after the final coat has dried for 2 hours. – 

Coverage: 

• First coat: 60-75 g/m² diluted. 
• Second coat: 100-120 g/m² undiluted. 
• Coverage is approximately 69m² per unit, depending on the porosity of the substrate.

VOC Level: 

• Low VOC 

Storage: 

• Store in a dry place at 23°C and 50% RH, away from direct sunlight. Do not store in temperatures less than 5 degrees.

Shelf Life: 

• 12 months in unopened packaging.

Precautions: 

• Do not place excess product back into the container to avoid contamination. Do not use below 15°C.
